48 Hour Digital Detox Activities


During the 48 hour digital detox, schools & organisations have the opportunity to engage in workshops provided by the Best Enemies, Bully Zero Australia Foundation & Food for Thought teams.

Once you register, resources & activities will provided to you to assist you in participating in the Digital Detox and to take time out & catch up with people face to face without the interruptions of social media applications.

Resource Packs for Schools & Organisations

Each participating school or organisation will receive a Digital Detox resource pack as part of their commitment.

Packs will include:

  • Best Enemies & Bully Zero Australia Foundation resources
  • Food for Thought resource - created by leading youth educator Kim Huckerby
  • Social networking guidelines & values
  • Strategies on work/life balance
  • Digital detox events & activities that each school, teacher, student & workplace can deliver & participate.


Prizes for participants

 

Lots of prizes are up for grabs for participants that pledge and fundraise the most funds!

Prizes include packs from Swisse worth over $250!

Workshops

By participating in the Digital Detox initiative Australians will raise funds for the Bully Zero Foundation of Australia to enable their school or organisation to participate in the following workshops and also receive cyber safety and anti-bullying resources.

Workshops that can be utilised include:

Best Enemies Education - Cyber Safety Workshops

 

  • Utilising the Best Enemies film and other multimedia to open discussion on bullying, cyber safety, digital reputation & use of information online.
  • Confronting the consequences of misuse of online privacy, sharing information online & digital reputation.
  • Navigating the social media landscape with tools and techniques for young people and organisations.
  • Run by experienced facilitators directly in schools and organisations
  • Actively engaging each person to present proven strategies which are group and individually led.


Leading youth Educator Kim Huckerby's - Food for Thought - Parent/Student Breakfast Workshops

 

  1. Engages both parents & young people providing an opportunity to initiate communication around youth issues including bullying, binge drinking & social media.
  2. Brings parents & children together in a safe environment to discuss, debate & engage on important adolescent issues.
  3. Empowers young people & parents to make informed decisions, contributing to positive lifestyle choices.
