48 Hour Digital Detox

Proudly sponsored by Apprenticeships Melbourne

Note: Fundraising will continue to be open for another 8 weeks!

Bully Zero Australia Foundation & Best Enemies are partnering for a "Safer Nation for Every Generation" to deliver the 48 hour Digital Detox.

It is reported that 1 in 5 Australians are cyber bullied. That is 5 million of us!

What can you do?

Take a stand against bullying on Friday 21st March 2014, coinciding with the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence.

How can I get involved?

You can join other Australians by taking the PLEDGE right now to 'take a break' from your social networking for 48 hours - from 9am Friday 21st March to 9am Sunday 23rd March 2014.

By taking the pledge to disconnect or reduce your use of your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and other social apps - you will confront cyber bullying and raise awareness and valuable money to fund cybersafety education resources directly into your nominated school or organisation!

Why should I do a Digital Detox?

Social media in today's society is an awesome way to connect with others, learn about new things and keep in touch. The down side to social media is its misuse and abuse with devastating effects to the lives of Australians nationwide.

By making a commitment to 'take a break' from social networking for 48 hours, not only will you raise money to help stop cyber bullying, but it will give you some headspace to DISCONNECT in order to RECONNECT by freeing up your time to participate in activities you enjoy, and spend time with friends, family, colleagues and your community.

Join schools & organisations across Australia to say "enough is enough"

Let's DISCONNECT in order to RECONNECT and raise important funds to educate and confront cyber safety issues.

"As the father of Allem Halkic I was unaware of the dangers of social media & the impact it has on our children. I have paid the ultimate price & lost my only child to this new cancer that is taking so many lives called cyber bullying. Allem committed suicide after a period of relentless bulling & threats. In my mind if social media is used inappropriately it can be a weapon of mass destruction. Please support the 48 Hour digital detox & the Bully Zero Australia Foundation". Ali Halkic
